Quan Yin, also known as Kwan Yin, Guan Yin and Kuan Shih, takes many forms and is considered to carry the duality of having being male and transformed into female. Quan Yin is the Bodhisattva (Buddhist prophet), often called the ‘Goddess of Mercy’ or Goddess of ‘Compassion and Healing’ in the West.
